He was born in Hemp, Georgia and lived most of his life in the Akron area. Wayne served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was employed 33 years with Goodyear Aerospace/Lockheed Martin, retiring in 1980. He was a member of Akron Baptist Temple and U.A.W. Local #856.
