William G. “Bill” Wenzlawsh, Jr.
William G. Wenzlawsh, Jr., 77, passed away January 7, 2018, surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer and other illnesses.
He was born in Akron and was a life resident of the area. Bill worked for many years with Akron Standard Mold and was the owner of W.W. Lawn care Service. He had been trained as a mechanical engineer, loved working on projects, tinkering, and was always innovative. Bill was a very hard worker, often holding two jobs and instilled a good work ethic on his children. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by his parents, William G. Sr. and Martha; and infant daughter. He is survived by his loving wife of more than 55 years, Hallie (Lattimer); sons, William G. III, Timothy (Althea), and Jeffrey (Tammy); daughters, Jodi Wenzlawsh and Dana (Ron) Conrad; grandchildren, Michelle (Dan), Kalyn (Andy), Ashley, Brittany, Kyle, Brooke, Rachael, Sarah and Jakob; seven great grandchildren; brother, Paul (Vicky); sisters, Carol (Dave) Mosher and Louella (Kenneth) Ryder, other relatives and friends. Bill’s family would like to thank the staff of The Avenue of Aurora for the love and care that they gave to him and his family during his illness.
Family and friends will be received 5-7 p.m. Friday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312 with memorial services following at 7 p.m. with Rev.
