"Together Again"
Bill Lindsey, age 91, passed away on March 15, 2017.
Born in Eva, Alabama, he lived in the Akron area for over 70 years and most of that time in the Mogadore area. Bill was employed as a carpenter and retired from Allen Keith Construction Company. He enjoyed playing bluegrass music and collecting old cars, clocks and many other antiques.
Preceded in death by his wife, Peg; brothers, George and Charles; and sister, Helen Kennedy, Bill is survived by nephew, Paul Pickett (Karen); sisters, Retta Mertz and Kathy (Ron) Carden; and brother, Jim Lindsey. Bill had no biological children but was loved by many nephews and nieces who were all “his children.”
Funeral service will be Monday, 12 noon at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) Burial will follow at Greentown Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home prior to the service Monday, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, 70 W. Streetsboro Street, Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236.
