William E. Bookman

William E. “Bill” Bookman, 62, passed away April 20, 2013 after a long illness.

He was born in Akron and was a life resident of Lakemore. Bill worked for the City of Lakemore for 38 years and retired as the Village Administrator and was also a fireman for 10 years. He was a member of the Army/Navy Garrison #273 in Lakemore and loved golfing and hunting.

Preceded in death by his parents, Eugene & Roberta; sisters, Lynnie and Bev. He is survived by his wife of 39 years of marriage, Debra; sons, Bill (Lisa) and Cory (Miranda); special grandson, Mason; brothers, Cary and Gary; sister, Sheryl (Rusty) Wood; many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Pastor Jeff Gindlesberger officiating. Burial to follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time. The family suggests memorials to the Lakemore Fire Department, P.O.
