William L. "Bill" Vaughn

William L. “Bill” Vaughn, Jr., age 58, went home to be with the Lord on April 28, 2014.

Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and was employed as an auto diagnostic technician. He enjoyed spending time with his family, being a prankster to all, fishing and motorcycles.

Preceded in death by his father, William, Sr.; mother-in-law, Mable Spangler; and dear friend, Jay Cook. He is survived his wife, Sandra, with whom he spent 29 wonderful years; daughter, Maria (Josh Holcomb); grandchildren, Nathanael, Jathan and Ashley Vaughn, Joshua, Caydence and Autumn Holcomb; mother, Phyllis Case; brother, Cecil; sisters, Kathy, Sandy and Diane; nephews, Dennis (Christy) Royer, Richard (Stacy) Davis; and niece, Lisa (Kevin) Fullen.

The family will receive friends Sunday, 2 to 6 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Memorials may be made to the family to help defray the cost of funeral expenses.
