SPRINGFIELD TWP. -- Warren H. Sigman, age 86, passed away unexpectedly on September 7, 2016.
Born in Erbacon, W.Va. and raised in Cowen, W.Va., Warren had resided in Springfield Twp. for the past 57 years. He was of the Baptist Faith. Warren retired from the Wheel & Brake Division of Goodyear Aerospace/Loral after 34 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, loved hunting and was a great fisherman. Warren always looked forward to taking his boys on fishing trips to Canada. He also loved sports, especially the Cleveland Indians and Browns, and was a loyal Mountaineer fan.
Preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Jennie; and four siblings, he is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Barbara; sons, Steven (Linda), Richard (Yvonne) and Wayne (Tammy); grandchildren, Nicole (Brian) Kayla, Richard Sigman Jr., Shelby Sigman, Danielle (Tim) Stout, Kaddie (Dakota) Watts and Seth (Brianna) Sigman; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Charles (Ernestine); many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends and family will be received Sunday, from 2 to 4 p.m., and Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral service will be Monday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to a charity of your choice.
