Warren Walter Bailes

Warren Walter Bailes, 69, went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2023.

Born in Akron, he was a resident of Lakemore. He was a 1972 graduate of Garfield High School and served in the U.S. Army. Warren retired from Hamlin Steel after over 25 years of service and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union. He loved to fish, an activity for which he won many awards. He also enjoyed playing cards with his family.

Warren was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bailes; brother, Harry Bailes; half-brothers, Bill, Bob, and David Bailes. He is survived by his former wife, Lesa J. Bailes; special friend, Sheila; daughter Jennifer (Richard) Brown; grandchildren, Antione (Skyler) McMullen, Kevin (Ehdohhtoo) Brown III, Kayla Brown, Dylan Brown; great-grandchild, Penelope Rose McMullen; mother, Mildred Bailes; brothers, Charles (Kathy) Bailes, John Bailes; sisters, Sarah Murry, Cindy (Frank) Waszil; and half-sister, Patty Robinson.

Family and friends will be received Thursday, October 19^th from 6 to 7 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312. A memorial service will begin at 7 p.m. Interment will take place Tuesday, October 24th at 2:45 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
