Waldo B. Mick

Waldo B. Mick, 85, passed away January 16, 2015.

He was born in Webster County, West Virginia and lived most of his life in the Akron area. Waldo had been employed with Goodyear Aerospace over 42 years and was a member of South Arlington United Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Mary Mick; brother, Clarence (Babe) Mick; son-in-law, Jim Higham; and two great grandchildren. He leaves his wife of 64 years, Dorothy Park Mick; son, Steve (Hanna) Mick; daughter, Linda Higham; grandchildren, Dawn (Dallas) Elek, Jennifer (Philip) Taylor, Tammy (JR) Anderson, Teresa Higham, James Waldo (Kathy) Higham, Deanna (Brian) Jones; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Dolly Hickman, Peggy (Clare) Wagner; and brother, Mike (Diane) Mick.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312 with Rev. Nan Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. TONIGHT (Monday) and from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
