Vonda Bolen

Vonda L. Bolen, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on August 10, 2022.

She was born in Shinnston, WV on August 16, 1934 to the late Carl and Swanie Stalnaker. She retired from Ohio Edison and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

Vonda was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Eunice Steese. She is survived by her children, Glen (Denise), Mark (Julie), Raymond (Lisa); grandchildren, David (Bernadette) and Sarah Lee Bolen; great-grandchildren, Wesley and Katrina Bolen, Alex Santiago; sisters, Edna Eulice Steele and Carlisle Smallwood; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 1212 Greensburg Rd. Uniontown, OH 44685, or Springfield Fellowship Church, 830 Ewart Rd. Akron, OH 44312.

Friends and family will be received Tuesday, August 16th from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), OH 44312. Funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. with Pastor John Burton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
