Virginia M. Oravec

Virginia Maybelle Oravec, age 94, passed away on August 3, 2017. Blessed to have such an amazing woman in this world for 94 years of life, surrounded by family, we handed our hero off to Heaven to reunite with many loved ones and into God’s arms. A lifetime resident of Akron, Virginia was a devoted homemaker, mother and grandmother, and a community leader at Hillwood Homes for many years. She was the epitome of unconditional love and acceptance and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Preceded in death by her husband, Samuel in 2004; and many other family members, Virginia is survived by all of her children, Cecelia (Bill), Sammy (Lou), Karen and Pam; eight grandchildren and their spouses; 17 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends and family will be received Monday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Matt Stull officiating. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.
