Virginia Bittner (nee Mace)

Virginia Bittner (nee Mace) Virginia Bittner, age 88, passed away suddenly on December 31, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. A life resident of Akron, Virginia graduated from South High School in 1949 and retired from Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Clifton “Buzz” Bittner; son, Jeffrey Bittner; daughter, Janie Bittner Pack; parents, Albert and Katherine Mace; all of her siblings; and her great friend and son-in-law, Roger Pressler. Virginia is survived by her daughters, Joy Pressler and Joanie (Rickey) Wright; son-in-law, Joe Pack; grandchildren, Rickey (Jill) Whitmyer, Keely Bittner, Tristan Bittner, Kayla (Brian) Stack and Megan Pack; great-grandchildren, Zach (Tabb) Whitmyer, Maddison Whitmyer and Bailey Thomas; great-great-grandson, Koleson Whitmyer; brother-in-law, CC (Janice) Bittner; sisters-in-law, Kay (Tom) Sharrit, Margie Worstall, Shirley Wahl, Cindy (Denny) Lixey and Rae South; and a host of nephews, nieces and friends. Family and friends will be received at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019 at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312, with Funeral services immediately following at 12 noon with Pastor Sharon Bauman officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to the Lakemore Fire & Paramedics, 1400 Main Street, Lakemore, OH 44250. Following the committal service, there will be a celebration of life luncheon held at the Army/Navy Club 273, 1391 Main Street, Lakemore, OH 44250.
