Virgil L. Hebert

Virgil L. Hebert, Jr. NORTH CANTON -- Virgil L. Hebert, Jr., born January 11, 1931 in Akron, Ohio went to be with the Lord November 8, 2017 after a sudden illness. A Naval Veteran of the Korean War, Virgil was a Life Member of the VFW National Home. Virgil and Mary retired early from The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in 1987, where they met. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 34 years, Marybelle L. (Gershom) Hebert; parents, Virgil L. Hebert, Sr. and Ruth M. (Cole) Hebert; sister and brother-in-law, Rita (Hebert) Lindisch and Vincent Lindisch. He is survived by children, Robert and Valerie Hebert of Houston, Texas, Ruth and James Mitzel of Green; grandchildren, Robert A. Hebert, Jr., Jennifer and Gregory Borowy, Julie Mitzel (fiancé, Alexander Khlystov); great-grandchildren, Miley Ann and Adeline Elizabeth Borowy; brothers and sisters-in-law, James (Sandra) Hebert and Thomas (Sandra) Hebert; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. Calling hours will be Sunday, November 12, from 2 to 5 p.m. with Rosary following at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 13, 10:30 a.m., at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 241 S. Main Street, North Canton with Rev. Msgr. James A. Clarke presiding.
