Vincent Pogorzelski "Pogo"

Vincent Pogorzelski, age 73, went home to be with the Lord August 10, 2016. 

Born in Akron, Vince was a lifetime area resident. He graduated from Hoban High School and served in the United States Navy. Vince worked in the restaurant business for many years and later retired from Summit County Engineering. He was a member of both the Summit County Sportsman and The Polish American Clubs. When he was able, Vince especially loved watching many different fishing, hunting and sporting games. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Ethel; he is survived by his loving and devoted wife or 48 years, Shirley (nee Ryan); sister, Lunora (Ed) Sadon; many nieces and nephews; special cousins; Pat and Alden Portwood; his sweet and loving baby girl Yorkie, Mocha. 

Funeral service will be Tuesday, 12 Noon, at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312 with Father Thomas Acker, S.J. presiding. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
