Vidalee Cuthbert, 97, died peacefully on March 20, 2016.
She was born in Braxton Co., WV on January 22, 1919 to the late Clyde and Jessie Stump. Vidalee lived in the Akron area most of her life and retired as a secretary from Consolidated Freightways. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, and vacationing in Florida and South Carolina with her husband.
Preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Wayne”; siblings, Mildred, Ruth, Hazel and Donald. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert James and Cathy; sister, Dolores (James) Oplinger; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Friends and family will be received 11-1 p.m. Friday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Reverend Richard Ferris officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to a charity of one’s choice.
