Vicki S. Oravec

Vicki Sue (Proudfoot) Oravec, 66, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A graduate of Springfield High School's Class of 1976, Vicki pursued a distinguished professional career. She began her journey at Goodyear/Lockheed Martin and later brought her talents to the Will-Burt Company, all while earning her BBA degree.

Vicki will be remembered for her kindness and compassion, always offering support and comfort with an open heart. Her presence brought warmth and joy, creating cherished memories that will be held close by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though it is difficult to say goodbye, we take comfort in the belief that she has found peace and is reunited with those who have gone before her.

Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Richard Proudfoot; stepmother, Lillis Proudfoot; stepfather, George Platis; brother, Douglas Proudfoot; nephew, Matthew Summers; and her beloved dogs Lucy, Louie, and Danni.

She will be deeply missed by her mother, Shirley Ann Platis; sister Sandra (Greg) Summers; nephew Michael (Angela) Summers; niece-in-law Desirea Summers; great-nieces and nephews Kayla, Raymond, Shelby, Carmen, Bryon, Jacob, and Joslyn Summers; as well as many other relatives and friends. Her cherished companion Rudy (RuRu) will also deeply miss her.

Honoring Vicki’s wishes, no calling hours or funeral services will be held. She has been cremated, and her ashes will be scattered in the wind-a fitting tribute to her free spirit.

When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure. May Vicki’s memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
