Timothy A. Farina, age 57, passed away on March 23, 2022 after a hard fought battle with cancer.
Tim was born in Wellsville and lived in Mogadore most of his life. He graduated from Mogadore High School in 1982 where he was a member of the 1979 State Championship Football Team. Tim was an avid sports fan, particularly football. Mogadore High School and Ohio State where his favorites but there is no bigger Browns fan than Tim. His man cave had an extensive collection of autographed pictures of Browns’ Hall of Famers. He enjoyed the outdoors and would spend time on the area lakes fishing. He also enjoyed BBQ-ing for friends on holidays or on game days. When it came to Ohio baseball, Tim was not a fan of the name change and would proudly say “Go Tribe!”
Tim is preceded in death by his youngest brother, Jeffrey; grandparents, Fred and Frances Farina and Carl and Audrey Robinson. He is survived by parents, Fred and Jennie (Robinson) Farina; brother, James (Sheila); daughters, Ashley and Dorie; special niece, Nicole (Ross) Cadwell; special nephew, James F. Farina; three grandchildren, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friend, Mike “Bandana” Burton. Tim had many good and loyal friends that will miss him.
The family would like to thank the staffs at Medina General, Akron General Gamma Knife, Justin T. Rogers Hospice, and Dr. Ali and his staff for the treatments and care given to Tim during his fight. And a special thanks to his friend, Mike, for all he did for Tim. Memorials can be made in Tim’s memory to the Mogadore Athletic Boosters at P.O. Box 64, Mogadore, Ohio 44260.
Per his request, cremation has taken place. No services will be held. A celebration of life will take place at the convenience of the family.
