Thomas Miller

January 4, 1961 — September 18, 2015

Thomas Miller, 54, entered into his greatest adventure yet on Friday, September 18, 2015.

Tom was born on January 4, 1961 in Akron, Ohio, to Paul and Evelyn Miller. His friends and family describe him as the perfect mix of Indiana Jones, Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor, Chuck Norris, and Grizzly Adams. He was an adventurous spirit and amazing family man. He loved spending time with his family camping, fishing, and traveling. Tom loved wrestling, and was a proud father of three-time state champion and two-time NCAA All-American, Michael Miller. His daughter, Amanda (Matt) Poremba, recently gave him his greatest treasure, his granddaughter, Paige.

Above all, Tom had a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. As a child of God, he unselfishly used his gifts and talents to serve others.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Paul, and father-in-law, Dane Wagster. His life is celebrated by his loving wife of 32 years, Diane; mother, Evelyn; mother-in-law, Carol Wagster; brother, Steve (Christine); sister, Deborah (Les) Dzuirlaj; brother-in-law, Raymond (Michelle) Wagster; and many nieces, nephews, friends and family. Tom, we will never forget you. You gave us so much to remember.

A memorial service will take place at 5 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2015 in the Lakefront Shelter at Wingfoot Lake State Park, followed immediately by food, drinks, and a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Camp Carl, 8054 Calvin Road, Ravenna, OH 44266.
