Thelma Louise Stiles

Thelma Louise Stiles, age 92, passed from this life to the next on December 8th, 2024 at Akron City Hospital. Louise was born on May 7, 1932 in Akron, Ohio to the late Samuel Homer Stiles and Rhoda Florence Stiles (Poling). She lived in Akron most of her life, with the exception of the years she attended Life Bible College in Los Angeles, California. Louise was active in the Middlebury Foursquare Church for many years. Her contributions included teaching children and playing the guitar. She was dearly loved by her family who is comforted by the decision she made years ago to put her trust in the saving power of Jesus Christ.

She was known as Thelma in her work places, which ranged from a dry cleaner, a grocery store, a dental office and over 30 years of factory work (including AMACO). She enjoyed the factory work because she liked to be active. Anyone who knew her knew she couldn't sit still for long.

Louise is survived by 5 nieces, 2 nephews, and many great nieces and nephews, and great, great nieces and nephews. Louise is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles Stiles (Ruth); and sisters, Mae Mullins (Olan), Dorothy Stiles and Helen May (Ronald).

A graveside ceremony will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the charity of your choice in her memory.
