Steven Norfolk, age 72, passed away suddenly on Friday January 27, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born in Ilford England, Steve resided in the Akron Canton area for much of his life. He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Midway CV-41 as an Aviation Support Equipment Technician, Second Class, from 1969-1972. Steve retired with 40 years of service from Acme Fresh Market. He enjoyed spending time camping, fishing, and boating.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Norfolk and Ada Steinbauer. Steve is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Gail, and faithful dog Koby. He will be sadly missed by his children Bill Norfolk, Stephanie Yocono, Christopher (Kathy) Norfolk, Pamela (Rich) Mastcko; step son Shane (Sara) Matuch; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and siblings Paul (Jan), Bradley, and Denise in addition to many nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Akron Canton Foodbank or Humane Society.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, February 5 from 2-5 p.m. with services including military honors to follow at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St. NW, Uniontown, OH 44685.
