Stanley (Dale) Woodard

Stanley (Dale) Woodard, age 59, passed away on February 13, 2015 after an 11-month battle with leukemia.

Stanley was born in Akron, Ohio to John Lee Woodard and Lucille Silcox. He was employed at Prospect Mold and Die. He was also a U.S. Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by father, John Woodard; stepfather, John Theiring; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Damron. He is survived by mother, Lucille Theiring of Whitehouse, Texas; wife of 41 years, Vickey; son, Bubba (Michelle); daughters, Collene (Derek) Keirns and Janean (Jacob) Arconti; grandsons, Logan, Jacob and Brayden; granddaughters, Ashley and Megan; brothers, Danny (Lillian) of Rootstown, Rick (Theresa) of Canal Fulton, Tim (Lisa) of Murfreesboro, Tenn., John (Karen) of Evansville, Ind., and Johnny (Cheryl) Theiring of Whitehouse, Texas; sister, Betty Woodard of Cuyahoga Falls; sisters-in-law, Kathy Stump and Shari (Steve) Jones. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thanks to Tinkers Auto Care in Suffield, Ohio, and to the staff of the Bone Marrow Unit at the Cleveland Clinic.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron, Ohio 44312, where funeral service will be held Friday, 11 a.m. with Deacon Paul Woodard officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park, where military rites will be provided by American Legion Post 281. The family suggests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
