Stanley F. Koczur was born on July 6th, 1935. Stanley went home to be with the Lord, peacefully on the morning of February 26, 2023.
Stanley graduated from Beaver Falls High school and from there he went on to honorably serve in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. After his Air Force Service he enjoyed working with Honeywell for 30 years. Stanley or Dziadek (polish for grandpa as he was lovingly known by his grandchildren) enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He was member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, an avid gardener and an active member in the Penn-Ohio Ford Model A Club and Polish American Citizens club. Stanley also was a member of Catholic War Veterans post 1325, and Portage county / Medina County Bee clubs. He raised bees as a hobby and educational program for the community. As a member of the Polish Legion, Stanley very much cherished the family’s Polish heritage and made it a point to pass the Polish traditions and legacy on to his family.
Stanley is preceded in death by his parents Stanley and Stella Koczur, his beloved daughter Lori and his beautiful wife Patricia Koczur. Stanley is survived by his dearly loved sisters Mary Jane and Marcia. Surviving him are his sons Dave, Daniel (Lisa), and John (Beth) Koczur. Also his daughter Theresa and wife Jean (Fahey). Stanley is survived by 11 grandchildren and his great - Grandson. Dziadek Stanley was and always will be deeply loved and greatly missed as a loving Father and Grandfather.
Stanley always held St. Joseph Catholic Church and school in high regard and asked that any memorial donations to be made to the church and school.
Services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church 2643 Waterloo Rd, Mogadore, OH 44260. Viewing hours will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 for family and friends from 9:30 am - 11 am followed by mass at 11 am. Military services will be then be held at graveside.
