Stanley M. Fifer

Stanley M. Fifer, 92, joined his dear departed wife, Betty on November 16, 2013, leaving fond memories with his son, John (Susan) Fifer; daughters, Bonnie Earnest and Debra (David) Gross; grandchildren, Lori (David) Workman, N. Reed (April) Earnest, Tiffany and Ashley Gross and Stanley D. Fifer; great-grandchildren, Torrie (Matt) Webster, Brittany Petrosky, Tommy Earnest, James Brooker and Elan Fifer; brothers, Don and Doug Fifer; extended family and friends.

Stan was a veteran of WWII, serving in both the Army and Air Force. Later in life he worked as a crane operator through the OH Operating Engineers Union Local #18. He was a member of Mogadore Moose Lodge #1082, American Legion Post #0209, and the V.F.W. where he enjoyed the company of other veterans and friends.

Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Avenue, Mogadore, Ohio 44260 with funeral services following at 11 a.m. with Father Michael Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park where Firestone VFW Post #3383 will conduct military rites. The family suggests memorials to the Ohio Veterans Home, 3416 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio 44870 (in care of Brandy in the social service department), where he spent his final days under their loving care. You will be missed and always remembered.
