Shane Michael Treich

Shane Michael Treich, age 40, passed away on July 10, 2017 after a courageous 2-1/2 year battle with cancer. Born in Akron, he was a life resident of the Suffield area. Shane graduated from Springfield High School in 1995 and the University of Mount Union in 1999. He worked as a brick layer and project manager in the construction industry. Shane enjoyed fast cars, loud motors and boating, and especially loved his dog, Betty. Shane is survived by his wife of 17 years, Robin; parents, Tyson and Debra Treich; sister, Sarah (Brian) Kunka and their children, Gage, Shay and Gavin; grandmother, Helen Edwards; in-laws, Don and Rae Howard; brother-in-law, Scott (Lisa) Howard; many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to express a special thank-you to Dr. Bradley Clifford, Dr. Jean Lang and the Summa Hospice staff for their compassionate care. Friends and family will be received Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) Funeral Service will immediately follow the visitation at 1 p.m. Friday with Pastor Gary R.
