Santos J. Liles

Santos J. Liles, age 35, went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer.

Born in Honduras, he was adopted at the age of six through Concern for Children in Ohio. Santos lived in the Hartville area for the last 25 years. He attended Lake Local Schools and graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas. Santos earned a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Web Design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Santos was employed for the last nine years at R Grocery Outlet. He attended The Chapel. Santos was an avid soccer player. He was very caring and generous and had a tremendous love for people. Santos was known as a practical joker, and was extremely creative. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his father, Edward DeWitt Liles; grandparents; and two maternal aunts, Santos is survived by his parents, Robert and Karen Kennedy; brother, Phillip Kennedy; sister, Stephanie (Shaun) Seaver; brother, Henry Lucid of Austin, Texas; aunts and uncles, Susan Krieg (Jim Shugerts), Ronald, Daniel V., Sandra, Mike, Janet and Nancy Suty; niece and nephew, Abby and Levi Seaver.

The family will receive friends Monday, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.). A brief funeral service will immediately follow at 8 p.m. with Pastors Steve Bucy and Happy Peterson of The Chapel officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made payable to Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, which will be forwarded to the “Miles for Missy” Cystic Fibrosis Research Run.
