Ruth Helen Jones

Ruth Helen “Ruthie” Jones, age 81, on October 15, 2013, went into the loving arms of our Savior and was welcomed home by her husband, Barnie.

She was born in Akron, and lived in Mogadore for 57 years. Ruthie retired from Neal’s Market, where she worked for over 20 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and crocheting.

Preceded in death by her husband, Barnie; brother, Earl Welch; and son-in-law, Loren Swensen, she is survived by sons, Roger and Erwin; daughters, Barbara (Derek) Billings, Judy (Rob) Briggs, Brenda (Doug) Taylor and Beverly Swensen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces; and dear sister-in-law, Irene Welch. A special thank you to her caregiver, Mona for her love and support.

Funeral service will be Friday, 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Ave. (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260 with Pastor Gordon Hayberg officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time Friday.
