Ruth S. Frieden

Ruth S. Frieden, 88, passed away January 30, 2013. Born in Rock Hill, S.C., she lived in Mogadore most of her life. Ruth was employed as the Village Clerk/Treasurer in Mogadore for over 25 years, and was a member of Mogadore United Methodist Church and its Ruth Circle. She was also a member of the Mogadore Dirt Daubers and Grasshoppers Golf League, and was a very dedicated donor for the American Red Cross.

Preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur F. “Bill”; she is survived by sons, Michael Frieden of Sarasota, Fla., and Larry (Debra) Frieden of Hilton Head, S.C.; daughters, Janis (Karl) Richards of Akron, and Diana (Kenny) Heft of Elkin, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 34 S. Cleveland Ave. (Route 532), MOGADORE, Ohio 44260 with Pastor Dan Baer officiating. Private interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday.
