Russell J. "Rusty" Parr

Russell J. “Rusty” Parr, age 58, passed away suddenly on December 28, 2013, and went to his heavenly home to be with his mother and dad.

Born in Barberton, he lived in Springfield Township all of his life. Rusty retired from Cardinal Roofing after 30 years of service. He loved football and was a loyal Cleveland Browns fan. Rusty enjoyed fishing, could always make people laugh, and could be counted on to help others. His greatest love in life was his children and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.

Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Fern; he is survived by daughters, Lisa, Renee and Lindsey Parr; grandson, Kayson; brother, Carey Parr; sisters, Mary Parr, Sue (Todd) Smith, Patt (Pablo) Alejandro; the mother of his children, Michelle Parr; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 1 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Rev. Glenn E. Rogers, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
