Rosemary Rymer

Rosemary Rymer, 100, passed away Friday, Jan. 27, 2023.

Rosemary was born Nov. 6, 1922 to Raymond and Nancy Hayes. She graduated from Ellet High School, class of 1941, and Hamel Business School. Rosemary met Russell Rymer at Ellet Grace Brethren Church. They were married May 29, 1942.

Rosemary retired from J.C. Penney after 36 years. She worked in the cash office, first at Eastgate Plaza, then at Lakemore Plaza. She was also a Sunday school teacher.

Rosemary was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 77 years, Russell; and granddaughter, Gretchen Hillis. She is survived by her daughters, Nancy and Terrie Rymer; son, Ray Rymer; grandchildren, Melissa Rymer, Bruce Hillis, Danielle Rymer, Rusty Hillis; nine great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank all of the aids and nurses who helped take care of her over the past 2 years, especially the late Melissa Vani who helped us and took care of mom for a year until her untimely passing, and Michelle Lushbaush who went above and beyond helping us care for mom.

Burial will take place Tuesday, February 7^th with a chapel service officiated by Jonathan Carey beginning at 12 p.m. at Hillside Memorial Park, 1025 Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44312.
