Rose Edman, age 84, passed away into eternal life at her home in Uniontown, Ohio on 3 January 2024. She was a woman of sincere faith in Jesus Christ. Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Her unconditional love and support will be dearly missed.
Rose was born and lived her entire life in the Akron area. Rose dedicated her life to providing care for her family. She was married to her beloved husband Oliver for 60 years. She raised three boys and assisted in raising grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Rose was always there for her family. She provided 24/7 care for an elderly bedridden cousin for nearly two months. Rose took care of her mother while her father was in a nursing facility and continued to care for her until her mother's passing.
Rose thoroughly enjoyed teaching Sunday school at The Chapel in Akron and Calvary Bible Church in Green. She enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren play sports. She supported their athletic programs by working the concession stands as well as other fundraising efforts.
Preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Sara Templeton; and siblings, Betty (Lewis) Lawhorn, Naomi (Denny) Cunningham, Ray (Martha) Templeton and David Templeton. Rose is survived by her sons, Thomas (Elizabeth) Edman, Terry (Bev) Edman and Ted Edman; grandchildren, Emily Edman, Robert Edman and Brittany Edman; great- grandchildren, Madison, Carlton, Kayleigh and Curtis; siblings, Belle (Marvin) Holmes, Linda (Denny) Frame, Danny (Debbie) Templeton, Mary (Julius) Landrum; and nieces and nephew.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 13th at 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawyer Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider an extra donation to your church or favorite charity.
