Ronald W. Grable

Ronald W. Grable, age 67, went home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2015. Born in Akron on August 22, 1947, Ron lived in Uniontown, Ohio most of his life and graduated from Green High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and was employed with Grable Excavating. Ron enjoyed working with heavy equipment on the farm, riding his Harley, and traveling. He especially loved spending time at the ocean. Preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Dolores Grable, he is survived by his partner of ten years, Pam McPerry; son, Daniel A. Grable of Akron; stepdaughter, Misty (Robert) Dawson of Hartville; grandchildren, Adam Grable and Tyler Dawson; brothers, Howard (Sylvia) Grable, Kenneth Grable and Richard Grable; sister, Geraldine Grable; nieces, nephews and friends. Ron was known by many and loved by all. Family and friends will be received Friday, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.), where funeral service will immediately follow at 12 noon with Rev. Richard W. Ferris officiating. Burial at Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
