Robert J. Rosen

Robert J. Rosen, 72, passed away unexpectedly Nov. 8, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Akron, he served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was employed by the Akron Beacon Journal as a District Manager and attended The Chapel in Green. He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. Preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Garnett Rosen; brother, Ronald Rosen; sister, Sharon Cozzoli; and son-in-law, Paul Matisak, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cynthia Rosen; children, Kimberly Matisak, Wendy Rosen and Daniel Rosen; daughter-in-law, Michelle Rosen, all of the area; brother, Joseph (Fae) Rosen of Arizona; grandchildren, Amanda (Joshua) Mason, William Matisak, Ezekiel Rosen, Robert Matisak and Kelsey Rosen; great-grandson, Tucker Mason and expected great-granddaughter, Kinsey Jo Mason. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, 10 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver (Uniontown) Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale St., Uniontown, Ohio 44685, with Pastor Mike Castelli officiating.
