Robert L. Nekola

Robert L. Nekola “Bob”, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on May 17, 2018. Bob spent his early life in Cleveland Heights and South Euclid and the majority of his adult life in Chesterland, graduating from Cleveland Heights High School and Case Western Reserve University with a BSME. He served in the U.S. Navy. Bob worked his way up through Cleveland Twist Drill and retired as Vice President of R & D from the Acme Cleveland Corp. He was a founding member and elder of Fellowship Bible Church and a member of the Cleveland Engineering Society. Bob was a fan of baseball as well as all other sports and enjoyed music and spending time outdoors and gardening. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Betty; and sister, Arlene Kemp, he is survived by children, Janet (Richard) Watson, Ken (Wanda) Nekola; and grandchildren, Dana (Matt) Kunze, Brett Nekola and Drew Nekola. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018, 11 a.m. at Fellowship Bible Church, 16391 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls, Ohio 44023 with Pastor Jim Shuman officiating. Friends and family will be received at the church one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. A private burial will take place at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland.
