Robert B. "Moe" Higgins

Robert B. “Moe” Higgins, 82, passed away August 24, 2012.

Born in Akron, he lived in Uniontown for the last 49 years, retiring from Goodyear Aerospace after 26 years of service. Mr. Higgins served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of Lakemore United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Barbara A.; son, Rob (Mary) Higgins of Wadsworth; daughter, Marie D. (Joe) Eberz of Akron; grandchildren, Jackie and Jennie; and great-grandson, Robert Joseph.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, 12 noon at Lakemore United Methodist Church, 1536 Flickinger Rd., Akron, OH 44312 with Pastor Jeff Gindlesberger officiating. Burial will take place Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the service at noon on Tuesday. The family suggests memorials to the church.
