Robert J. "George" Klainer

Robert J. “George” Klainer, age 74, passed away on February 12, 2016.
Born in Akron, he lived in the Ellet area and served in the Army Reserve. Robert retired from Akron Metropolitan Housing after 20 years of service. His hobbies included hot rod and classic cars, and he enjoyed going to car shows and racing motorcycles. Preceded in death by his parents, John P. and Betty M. Klainer, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Norma J. Klainer; son, David (Cheri) Swinehart; daughters, Tammy (Russell) Fresh, Shelley (James) Kirk and Ami (Stuart) Leemaster; and grandchildren, Jamie Coblentz, Joshua Fresh, Nicholas Leemaster, Paige Balca, Zachery Leemaster and Jacob Balca.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 17, 11 a.m. at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, 2406 Ardwell Avenue, Akron, Ohio 44312, with Pastor Brian Nutt officiating.
