Robert D. Gibson

Robert D. Gibson went home to be with his Lord and savior on December 20, 2020. He was preceded in death by his father, David Carneigie Gibson; mother, Jessie Taylor McIntosh Gibson; infant sister, Mildred Gibson; and son-in-law, Jerry Parker. Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 70 years, Dorothy M. Gibson; his loving daughters, Diane Johnson, Marilyn Parker and Linda Gibson; grandchildren, Michael (Heather) Johnson, Loire (Steve) Fox, Julie Cottrell, Matthew (Laura) Parker, Ted (Jasmine) Parker and John Parker; along with 12 loving great grandchildren and his loving Water Church family. Family and friends will be received on Monday, December 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road (Route 91), Akron (Ellet), Ohio 44312. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 29, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Brian K. Williams and Pastor Cyndie Rogers officiating. Masks and social distancing protocols will be observed. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
