Robert E. Bauer

"Together Again" Robert Edward Bauer, age 89, passed away February 13, 2016. 

Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident. Bob served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Akron Turner Club. He was a self-employed construction worker and also owned and operated Mogadore/Massillon Road Cab Co. for many years. Preceded in death by his wife, Helen; parents, Ralph Bauer and Eva Workman; brother, Tommy Bauer; and sister, Arlene Knox; Robert is survived by his children, Loretta (Robert) Bryce, Carl (Chris) Bauer, Cathy Palmer, Ken (Maureen) Bauer, Ralph (Joan) Bauer and Tim (Carolyn) Bauer, all of Akron; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. 

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, 11 a.m., at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44312. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service Wednesday, from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial at Hillside Memorial Park where military rites will be conducted.
