Robert A. "Bob" Marquard

Robert “Bob” Marquard, age 89, passed away on June 27, 2013.

He was born on September 2, 1923 in Wickliffe, Ohio, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Bob retired from Goodyear in 1984, and moved to Arizona in 1986. He was an avid golfer, but above all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister; Robert is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty; daughter, Lynne (Joe) Pacuit; son, David (Sue) Marquard; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Monday, July 8, 11 a.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.) with Rev. Joel Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park, where military honors will be conducted by Mogadore VFW Post 8487. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, July 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, 70 W.
