Richard James Glagola, age 88, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2021 with his wife, Cindy, of 68 years, by his side.
He was born to Charles and Nellie Glagola in 1932. He married his high school sweetheart, Cindy, in 1953. Rich was a hardworking, quintessential, blue collar American. In his many vocations, he was a machinist, truck driver, farmer, coal miner, and soldier; enlisting in the Army in 1952. Rich was loving, bullheaded, God-fearing, and resourceful. He was always on the hunt for life, liberty, and a good deal. He could offer someone $50 for just about anything. In his later years, he took up the role of proud and supportive Grandpa, but always continued to frequent flea markets, tinker in the garage, play cards, and tell stories. Rich was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, Pap Paw, and friend.
Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Betty Romesburg; and sons, Greg and Gary.
Survived by his wife, Alcinda “Cindy” Glagola; sister, Elaine Flitt; brother, Bob (Pak); daughters, Sharon (Earl) and Kim (Donald); grandchildren, Luke, Michael, Kyle, Abbra, Zachary, Sonny, Wayne and John; great grandchildren, Mabel, Skylah, Monroe, McKinley, Madison, Clara Grace, MacArthur, and Moriah.
