Richard N. Abrams

Richard Neal Abrams (age 83) was called home to be with our Lord on Sunday, December 4^th, 2022 with family by his side. Richard was born in 1938 in Louisville Landing, NY to Edwin Caldwell Abrams and Hattie Alice (Finnie) Abrams. Dick was in the grocery industry for 49 years, eventually owning his own store (Ellet IGA) for 11 years. Dick loved going house boating on Dale Hollow Lake in his younger years and also was an avid golfer. Spending time with his family and friends was his favorite pastime.

Dick was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Robert S. Abrams (Amy) and Jim D. Wormald (Gayle); and nephew, John Price. Dick is survived by his wife of 34 years, Judith K. Abrams; sister, Elaine Rose (Glenn); sister-in-law, Marianne Price (Jack); son, Richard E. Abrams (Karen); daughter, Susan L. Roy (Brad); son, Michael A. Wormald (Jodi); and daughter-in-law, Bobbie Hippli (John). Dick enjoyed every minute of being a grandpa to 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Dick was the most wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to all. He will be missed beyond measure.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, December 8^th from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd. Akron (Ellet), OH 44312. Funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. with Pastor Brian Nutt officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
