"Together Again"
Raymond L. Wimer, age 87, passed away suddenly on October 8, 2019.
Born in New Castle, Pa., he lived in the Akron area since 1972. Ray was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a hard worker and a good husband and father. Ray was proud to be a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and his wife spent many hours volunteering at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital, where they had made many friends.
Preceded in death by his wife, Angeline; daughters, Kathy Huff and Carol Taylor; son, Robert Taylor; and son-in-law, Michael Nelson, Ray is survived by his daughters, Beatrice (Raoule) Platt, Linda Nelson and Martha Brophy; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
At Raymond’s request, there will be no services. Cremation will take place and private inurnment will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516; or the American Cancer Society.
