Raymond F. Lentz, age 86, passed away on March 26, 2016.
Born in Akron, Raymond lived in the area most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army and Airforce along with the Kent National Guard. Raymond was a member of the Airport VFW Post 8975. Preceded in death by parents, Frederick F. and Edith L.; brother, Tom; he is survived by his children, Kathryn, Ronald, Rodrick and Connie; brothers, David, Fred (Pat) and Richard (Barb); sisters, Loneita (Gary) Kirsh and Karla (Glen) Minger; sister-in-law, Shirley; special niece, Sheila; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Interment with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date. The family suggests memorials to the Airport VFW Post 8975, 1647 Krumroy Rd., Akron, Ohio 44306.
