Ray E. Rininger, 79, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ April 9, 2014.
Born in Central City, Pa., Ray was raised in the Somerset, Pa. area where he met and married Hazel M. Rininger (Uphouse). They moved to the Akron area raising their three sons until Hazel’s passing in 1987. Ray and Hazel are survived by their sons, Robert (Kimberly), Randy (Celeste), and William, including grandchildren, Deena (Jay) Ecke, Robby, Hunter, Brittany and Faith. Ray remarried and is survived by his wife of 24 years, Edna Jean and his step children; Teri (John) Naehring, Pauline Hasselshwert, Roger (Karen) Dardenne, Gail (Chris) Cole, 12 step grandchildren and 15 step great-grandchildren that he loved as his own.
Ray and Edna enjoyed being snowbirds-wintering on Hutchison Island, Fla. and summers in Akron. Ray enjoyed his years as Founder and President of The Ray Company Construction, Boy Scout Master, riding motorcycles, golf, bocce, playing cards, cooking, worshipping at The Chapel by the Sea in Florida and being with his friends and family.
A memorial service for family and friends will be Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at THE CHAPEL, 1800 Raber Road, Uniontown, OH 44685, Pastor Steve Bucy officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests gifts are made to: THE CHAPEL.
