Peggy A. Croce (nee LuCente)

Peggy Croce (nee LuCente), 86, went home to be with the Lord March 1, 2013.

Born in Fairmont, W. Va., Peggy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved to cook for her family and work in her garden, and was a longtime member of St. Matthew Catholic Church.

Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rose LuCente; step-father who raised her, Joseph Daristotle; and siblings, Virginia, Lena, Sam, Johnny, Nick, Albert and Louis, Peggy is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Joseph; loving daughter, Teresa Croce; precious granddaughter, Caprice Croce; and the two little angels in her life, Olivia and Joey; brother, Joseph (Kathleen) Daristotle; and many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 2603 Benton Street, Akron, OH 44312 by Father Michael Williamson. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, OH 44312 from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
