Pearl M. Morris (Brubaker)
Pearl M. Morris, age 100, went with dignity and grace to sit at the foot of her Savior, Jesus Christ on November 6, 2018.
Pearl was born on December 7, 1917 in Connellsville, Pa. and moved to Ellet when she was two years old. She graduated from Ellet High School in 1935. Pearl was employed at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company where she met Duane, her future husband. They were married on June 17, 1939. She was also employed by Akron City Hospital, and after retiring volunteered there for 23 years.
Most of all, Pearl loved family gatherings where she could always be found playing with the children. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren were the love of her life.
Welcoming Pearl into Heaven’s gate were her husband, Duane; her beloved son, Tommy; three sisters, Nada, Alma and Ruth; two brothers, Jess and Harold; and parents, Robert and Minnie Brubaker. Left to honor her are daughter, Joan (Jim) Palmeri; four grandchildren, Dawn (John) Falkenstein, Laurie (Joe) Dennis, Teri Gray and Tina (Jason) McIntire; 12 great-grandchildren, Michael (Missy) Falkenstein, Amy (Phillip) Samuda, Emily Falkenstein, Courtney Dennis, Kaylee Dennis, Joey Dennis, Tommy Gray, Tyler Gray, Troy Gray, Cayden McIntire, Colton McIntire and Finley McIntire; six great-great-grandchildren, Ally Samuda, Chloe Falkenstein, Gabby Falkenstein, Olivia Pearl Falkenstein, Baylee Nichols and Francesca Nichols; nieces, Sally (Steve) Zimmerman and Susan (Jay) Morgart; great-nephew, Aaron (Cindy) Brubaker; and many friends.
Pearl’s family is very thankful to the staff at The GreenView Assisted Living and Jackson Ridge Nursing Home for the exceptional kindness, patience and love they gave to Pearl.
She was kind to everyone, a selfless person, and will always be loved by many. We will miss her terribly, but she will always be in our hearts. May God welcome her at the banquet of everlasting life and may peace find all those who mourn her.
