Pauline H. McCartt

Pauline H. "Pug" McCartt, age 92, passed away October 19, 2013.

She was born in Akron and graduated from Ellet High School. Pauline was a life resident of the Ellet area and was a devoted homemaker. She was a longtime member of North Springfield Presbyterian Church and a committed member of the Akron Democrat Club. Pug and her husband, Pat enjoyed many years of boating on Lake Erie and traveling. She enjoyed Bunco and playing cards with her friends.

Preceded in death in 1985 by her husband Patrick; son, Edward; and grandson, Edward “Eddie”. She is survived by son, Patrick (Gloria); daughter, Beverly (Gary) Powell; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sister, Ruth Moore; and daughter-in-law, Priscilla McCartt.

Friends may call 5-7 p.m. TONIGHT (Tuesday) at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at North Springfield Presbyterian Church, 671 Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 with the Rev. Dr. Janet C. Lowery officiating. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the church.
