Pauline Korenz (nee Hamas)

Pauline Korenz (nee Hamas), age 91, went home to be with the Lord on February 10, 2015.

Born in Cambridge, Ohio, she lived in the Uniontown area most of her life. Pauline was a member of Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church. She was very artistic, and enjoyed painting, flower arranging and sewing.

Preceded in death by her husband, Frank; Pauline is survived by her sons, James and Richard (Celeste); granddaughters, Katherine Korenz and Calista Caldwell; and great-grandson, Liam Caldwell.

The family will receive friends Thursday, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 3553 Northdale Street NW, UNIONTOWN, Ohio 44685 (one block NW of the square of 619 & Cleveland Ave.). Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10 a.m. at Nativity of the Lord Jesus Catholic Church, 2425 Myersville Road at Killian Road, Akron, Ohio 44312 with Father David Halaiko presiding. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to the church.
