Pauline F. Barna

Pauline F. (Baskey) Barna, beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, passed away July 6, 2023.

Born in Akron, Pauline worked for many years at Goodyear Tire in the Corporate Insurance area. She lived in Uniontown for 45 years, where she was an active member of the Uniontown United Methodist Church, before moving to Struthers to be closer to family. Pauline was also an organist at Clearview United Methodist Church for many years.

Pauline enjoyed card making, quilting, and other crafting, and was a member of “Where the Corners Meet” quilt guild in New Wilmington, PA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Beatrice Baskey, brother Oliver, sister Shirley Mason, and her loving husband of 65 years, William (Bill) Barna.

Pauline is survived by her daughters Sheryl (Michael) Wheatley, Linda Friend and Sally Previte; grandchildren Christopher (Kristin) Wheatley, Jason (Jessica) Wheatley, Dustin Graves, Jessica (Benjamin) Todd, Samantha (Greg) Lawley, Courtney (Cody) Monarch, Brittany (Jeremy) Lenz, Zachary Previte and Jeremy Previte. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Colin and Connor Wheatley, Gabriella and Elijah Wheatley, and James Monarch, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staffs at The Inn at Poland Way and Briarfield Place for their care and compassion.

At Pauline’s request, no formal funeral service will be held.
