Paulette Lynn Reed or lovingly nicknamed Pete went home to the lord unexpectedly on April first. Paulette was born in Lakewood, Ohio. She lived in Florida during her youth until she moved back to the Akron, Ohio area where she met her husband of forty one years.
Paulette is survived by her husband Richard Reed, her daughters Lauren (Steve) Ferre, Hannah (Bryan) Baker, and Katie (Alex) Speight, her grandchildren Grant and Thea Ferre, her siblings Maggie Keiser, Pat Dixon, David (Carolyn) Dixon, and Richard Dixon. She is also survived by John Seman, John (Kelly) Seman, and Mike (Mary) Seman who she also considered her family and spent every holiday with. She is preceded in death by her father and mother William and Catherine Dixon, and her brother Bill Dixon. She is also preceded in death by Margaret Seman and Joe Seman who she again considered her family.
She and her husband Richard enjoyed their lives together hiking, cycling, camping, playing games, gardening, backpacking, practicing target archery, skiing, kayaking, attending church, and raising their three daughters. She loved history, reading thick biographies and visiting as many historical landmarks that she could and reading every placard. Paulette reveled in playing with her two grandchildren Grant and Thea Ferre. She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, Nana, daughter, sister, and friend. As a true example of love, generosity, and pure kindness she had a rare gift of touching a person’s heart for a lifetime even if they had only known her for a minute. To all who knew her will forever be truly blessed and we hope they keep her in their hearts forever.
