Paul D. Wood Jr. passed away on April 11, 2021. Born in Akron, he lived in Uniontown. Paul retired from Goodyear, after 32 years of service. He was a member of Lakeview Lighthouse Church. If Paul wasn’t spending time with his family, you could find him up in his garage. He enjoyed working on his tractors, eating, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Paul was extremely selfless and it seemed that he could make friends anywhere he went. Paul is preceded in death by his wife Billie Wood; parents, Paul & Bettie; brother, Jim; and sister, Shirley. He is survived by his children, Tricia Halavin, Ryan Wood, Chris (Sarah) Wood; grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Alexis, Jenna, Hunter, Keegan, Colton, Coralynn and Brindley; great grandchildren, Emerson, Leah, Everett, Nova and Paisley; sister, Donna (Bob) Corley; and nephew, James Wood. Friends and family will be received on Saturday, April 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lakeview Lighthouse Church, 1065 Kubler Trail, Akron, Ohio 44312. A funeral service will be held immediately following, with Pastor Dwayne Ray officiating. Covid procedures, mask and social distancing, will be followed.
