Paul Eugene Reed, 62, passed away January 6th, just three days after his brother George. Paul was a fighter, having battled cancer for many years with the help of his family, especially George, who looked over his own health issues.
Paul grew up in Springfield Twsp. and attended Springfield schools. He was an independent, free spirit who lived his life to the fullest. He was quiet, smart, tough and gentle. He was so funny, always laughing and telling stories, like the time he was camping, laying on the ground in a sleeping bag and a raccoon stole his dentures right out of his mouth! He loved hanging out with his friends and family, the outdoors, fishing, smoking and riding his bike on the Towpath Trail.
We would like to thank all of the doctors and nurses at Summa for giving us another 12 years with Paul after being diagnosed with stage 4 throat cancer. Thanks also to Barb Angerstein for the love and support she showed both of our brothers. In addition to George, Paul was proceeded in death by his mom and dad, Marcia and James Reed, and sisters, Janet, Marcia, and Peggy. Paul with be greatly missed by his brother, Jim; sisters, Madeline and Janie (Mark); dear friend, Sheila Wright; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will have a celebration of Paul’s life at a later date.
